The Sun
Abi Titmuss was in The Sun today:

I would like to draw your attention to the following quote:
“I have just got a little part in a British film, a comedy, but I can’t talk about that yet!”
She may not be able to, but I can … because it’s my film.
Or at least a film I wrote.
That’s right, as well as not being mentioned in Hello! a few weeks back, I’ve now not been mentioned in The Sun. At this rate I’ll be completely anonymous for years to come. My name will literally be on no one’s lips.
Fame is ignoring me, but in public.
Basically, Abi is going to be in Mixed Up. Which also has a natty new poster:
So there you go: not being mentioned in The Sun and a new poster.
I told you life was good.

Heh. At least you’ve been (indirectly) alluded to in the Sun. That’s more than most of us can claim.

A few years ago a mate of mine won a speech competition about how he lost 10 stone in his final year at school. He won a prize of a trip to Mexico and his story and picture was on page 3 of the Sun.
More funny was that it also appeared in the Sunday Sport. The ‘reporter’ asked about his love life life and he just said that he thinks he may have bit more of a chance with the ladies now he’s down to 14 stone. The headline said: ‘Porky weighs in for nookie’
The other thing about that article is that that they showed before and after photographs except that one was deliberately squashed to make him look fatter. They were both taken on the same day!

How long, do you think, before you start getting not-mentioned in the broadsheets?
Well done!

I aim to be not mentioned in all UK publications within the year.

Just been to the Mixed Up myspace page: I notice that you’re looking for songs for the soundtrack. I have another friend who may be interested in this. He recently had a number one hit in Rochdale HMV - yes, NUMBER ONE - when his Rochdale FC centenary single knocked the Artic Monkeys off the top spot.
It would be easy to be dubious considering that it was a football song but his other stuff is good too. His myspace page is http://www.myspace.com/thepermanentsmilers if you want to hear more general material.

Best thing to do is get him to register on the Mixed Up page. I’m not sure who’s choosing the music, but I know it’s not me.

You weren’t mentioned on teletext this morning either. Or in this months DWM.

Was I specifically not mentioned?
You know, not mentioned by name?
